    About Wine Luthier

    WINE LUTHIER is a technology company that has achieved what seemed impossible: mapping the shape and volume of flavor, based purely on physical and chemical data.

    A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY

    Diego Fernández Pons, an oenologist with an extensive career, discovered that to understand flavors the brain needs to visualize them. As Director of the Sommelier Master’s at the DOP Valencia Regulatory Council, he teaches that what can be "seen" is better understood.

    After years leading projects in the European market, he concluded that oenology should not be only subjective. After 8 years of research with experts in mathematics and informatics, he created WINE LUTHIER: a technology that uses quantifiable data to "draw" the flavor of a wine based on a database of thousands of references.

    Our name pays tribute to the producer (Wine) and the master who tunes instruments (Luthier). We offer objective information to both oenologists and commercial managers to refine their strategic labor.

    We do not classify wine as "good" or "bad," as that depends on the individual consumer's emotional response. What we do is map the individual sensory profile, comparing it with global consumer trends.

    Thanks to our strategic alliance with the Rubio-Yeramian Laboratory, we have merged their Mosaic Ry™ technology with our WPS system. This synergy allows us to cross-reference edaphic and climatic metadata with wine imaging, establishing a real scientific relationship between soil, climate, and wine style.

    We conduct real-time climate monitoring of the vintage, which allows us to predict the resulting profile and offer viticultural recommendations to ensure that climate conditions do not deviate the wine's desired style.
