Picture the Taste™

At WINE LUTHIER, we draw the taste of wine. When a wine arrives at the laboratory, we perform a complete physical and chemical analysis of about twenty parameters using the best current analysis technology.

These are entered into software that draws the wine in 4D mathematics and converts it to 2D so that it can be visually understood and located within the Wine Positioning System™ (WPS). With all the data, we represent four values:

Crisp: The impression of a wine's acidity.
Mellow: The impression of volume on the palate.
Sweet: The impression of sweetness.
Grip: The impression of solidity.


We then quantify it from 0-10 to establish an objective hierarchy. From there, we are able to compare the percentage difference between that wine and the rest of the wines in the world. We obtain a wealth of highly valuable objective information for the industry.

We even have an algorithm: you provide the tanks to be blended, and it tells you the exact percentage required so the flavor is exactly what you need.
